Milan close the sale of Paletta
AC Milan have agreed the sale of Gabriel Paletta. The player was considered surplus to Montella’s requirements and will move to Lazio.
Waiting to understand what the future of M’Baye Niang will be (if he is going to leave or not), Milan have practically finalized yesterday another important exit from the team.
It’s all done, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, for the transfer of Gabriel Paletta to Lazio. The 31 year old Italian-Argentine defender is now about to move to Lazio after the last positive contacts in the recent hours. The arrival of agent Martin Guastadisegno in Italy facilitated the deal. AC Milan had put for a long time the player on the market without guaranteeing his contract renewal and therefore being prepared to listen to all offers for his services.
Today is the right day to close the deal, with Paletta ready to leave Milan and start a new adventure in Roma as Lazio’s newest central defender. Lazio had to find a replacement after Wesley Hoedt’s transfer to the Premier League. Milan will earn at least 2.5 million euros from this transfer, that’s the fee agreed with the biancocelesti who jut earned big money from the 30 millions sale of Balde Keita to Monaco. The two clubs must only define the payment method and rate, immediately after Paletta will join his new club under the guidance of Simone Inzaghi.
